So, through Saturday, September 29th, Dillard's is running an additional 40% off their clearance items! When I say clearance, I mean ALL the clearance in the store - women's, men's, children's, shoes, handbags, jewelry..you name it!
I seriously needed a reason to go shopping because I don't have enough already! But this type of sale I cannot overlook because there are some major bargains to be had!
I am already planning on making one more trip to see if I can stock up on some Christmas items for the family!! It is never too early to save $$$.
I was able to pick up the hubby a couple of Daniel Cremieux shirts that were originally $50 for only $10 after the discount. I'm heading back to look at some Murano shirts also because I forgot while shopping the other night. I got distracted with the handbags and women's clothing!
I found a couple of great deals on Kensie clothing and Chelsea & Violet.
My main item that I am absolutely thrilled with though is a B. Makowsky Garbo Satchel in Caramel. The leather is absolutely divine on this bag!

I received my September Little Black Bag this week! I was actually looking forward to receiving this bag...more than normal because I had some great items this month!
First of all, I had some exchange credits from two previous bags that I gained in this month's bag so that gave me several items to work with.
For the month of September, LBB was giving away Benefit samples and I actually started out with a mascara but I ended my bag with no samples which is a little disappointing but I ended up with a Christmas present for my Grandparents so it was really worth it!
Now on to the goodies that I received!!! If you would like to see more details on anything please let me know!!!
I traded my Benefit Mascara for some extremely FUN Kikkerland Dashshund Salt & Pepper Shakers. I wanted these for my grandparents actually because they have a Dashshund and they will enjoy these so much! One Christmas present down!!!! The dogs are made out of brown rubber and have stainless steel bodies. The salt and pepper shake out of their little behinds!
Kenneth Cole Pull Through Earrings with blue and grey beads. These are amazingly light weight and easy to wear! I would recommend them even though this is something that I originally wanted to trade..I am glad I ended up with them now!
Ben Amun Blue Seed Bead Necklace. This necklace is light sky blue and has multiple layers. There is some nice detail work towards the closure and the closure is as silver tone BA button. This is an item I received in a trade and wasn't able to trade. I will admit that I actually like it though and it will make a nice addition to my collection since I don't own a piece like this.
I am actually sending this next item back because as cute as I found it in other's reviews I personally do not love it. The Deux Lux Sparkle Baby Cosmetic Bag in Pink is a nice size and is the same interior as the exterior so if you were to spill makeup inside it would easily wipe out. The vinyl though is somewhat stiff and not very pliable and has many wrinkles from shipping.
I am also planning on returning the following bag because I know that I won't use it in my collection of bags. I like the look of the Vieta Pilar Satchel but it isn't me. The bag is soft faux leather but very structured. The front has a nice pleating detail at the bottom and comes with a long strap along with a top handle. The back of the bag has a slim magnet closure pocket. The interior has a back zip pocket and three accessory pockets.
I started out my September bag with the Ivanka Trump Sequin Shoulder Bag and refused to trade no matter what the offer was. Let me tell you, there were some hard to resist offers out there too!!! This bag is very small but the size should be perfect to hold my cell phone, camera and cash/id. My favorite thing about this bag is the gold chain strap that can be worn as a shoulder bag or crossbody bag. The sequins are somewhat messed up on this bag - some are going different ways and some are bent. I wouldn't have spend $95 on this bag but I am pleased with it overall with receiving it in my Little Black Bag.
This bag went up on the site a few days prior to my bag ending and I was lucky enough to snag one! I haven't heard of this bag prior to LBB but I do think the quality is good. The Latique Adel Satchel is an olive khaki green color which is perfect for fall. The bag is also a very nice size, not too large and not too small. This came out the following week in Black which appears nice also. The hardware is goldtone. The interior is separated with a center zipper pocket, a zipper pocket in on the back and 2 accessory pockets on the front of the interior. The bag also has zipper pocket on the back side exterior. The bag does come with a long strap also.
Last but not leave my favorite item of this bag!!! The Vieta Justine satchel escaped me in Pumpkin but I was able to trade for it in Black. I think this bag is perfect - the perfect size, nice pleating detail, the faux leather is very soft and this bag will be a little slouchy! The interior has a center zipper pocket that separates it up! The back interior has a zipper pocket and the front interior has 2 accessory pockets. There is also one zipper pocket on the back exterior. All hardware is goldtone. This bag also comes with a long strap. I highly recommend it!
So, I received my Little Black Bag for August! I decided to open this bag because I saw an Oliva + Joy bag that I fell in love with. This bag was the Green Tycoon Bag.
The lucky thing for me was that I waited and waited ....then the day I opened my bag I found an online code for a FREE $50 item! So I made sure to take advantage of that deal very quickly (it was 24 hr promotion I believe).
I believe that when I open my bag next month that I will capture it via screenshot to show you exactly what I started out with since I've only been showing you so far what I ended up with! Good Plan isn't it?! I should have thought of that way before now, but there is always next month!!
Ok, on to what was in this LBB!
First up was some Betsey Johnson Jewelry (imagine that)...
Betsey Johnson Pearl and Chain Bracelet. This bracelet is stretchy on the pearl side so it is extremely easy to wear. The chain is black and antiqued silver.
Next Betsey Johnson Single Drop Polka Dot Heart Earrings. These are set in gold with a CZ stud base. The hearts are actually small little bows and the interior appears to be black with pink dots. I had some double drops but I really like the single drops better for me. Someone was sweet enough to trade with me!! I cannot wait to wear these!!
Ok, then I was lucky enough to get two bags this time! I ened up with a "hot" item that I thought I would hold onto for possibly a Christmas present!! This is the Deux Lux Love Drops Evening Pouch in Black. This is such a great little clutch, the faux leather has a heart design on it and a black ribbon bow. The hardware is gold tone. The interior is a beautiful teal satin but there are no interior pockets. There is one outside functional zipper pocket.
Last but not least was the bag that I opened with! The Olivia + Joy Tycoon Bag in green. This isn't a huge bag but should hold everything I really need to carry. The strap is gold tone with black ribbon. My only complaint is that the strap folds in half. The interior is a gray fabric and has Olivia + Joy on it. There is a back exterior zipper pocket, there happens to be an interior zipper pocket and two accessory/cell phone pockets. The color is beautiful! The faux leather is pebbled but also has smooth spots on it. This bag did have a smell to it..my nose is super sensitive though. So I've put dryer sheets in and hopefully in a couple of days it will smell great!!!
Since I've returned a few items I now have some exchange credits in my account. I'm holding out until I see something that I really love!! I am planning on hopefully getting some presents for family and friends this time around!!!
So after my first bag I was hooked!! I learned how to trade with the 2nd bag and had decided that I would open with a "hot" item and hope for the best. I traded from the very first minutes I opened the bag until I ran out of time (7 days). This took some work but I did it!
I ended up with an iPhone case and jewelry! This is exactly what I had hoped for honestly! This was my best bag (pretty easy since it was only my 2nd)!!!
So, let's get down to it and I'll share with you what was in this bag. I did return a few items because I just didn't love them (some of the bracelets were too large). Let me mention that LBB has exceptional customer service and the return process is painless! Which I certainly appreciate!
Ok, first up is my new CaseMate iPhone case - it is a little adorable Hoot Owl! It is nicely made and fits my phone perfectly. I wasn't sure about the "hoot" hanging from the corner but it doesn't get in the way and is totally flexible.
Now on to the jewelry!!! First, I received an All the Rage tribal necklace that is mixed metal. This necklace has an adjustable chain.
Next up, All the Rage Blue, Green and Cream Necklace. These are plastic beads so the necklace is actually lightweight. This necklace is extremely cute and fun!!! This necklace has an adjustable chain also.
This next necklace is exceptionally beautiful! This was a Spring Street piece and I'm extremely happy with how it looks on! This is on the longest setting so the chain isn't super long but is adjustable. This will be cute layered with some other jewelry.
The next piece is a JUKO blue leather and gold stud bracelet. This has two size settings and the smaller setting fits my wrist perfectly! I love this piece!!!
Another Spring Street item that I received was some cute Spring Street Bue and Crystal earrings. I actually gave these as a gift to a friend that loved them!!
Now, to my FAVORITE items in this bag! I am thrilled with these...I love items above but these are some pieces I really wanted and traded to get!
Betsey Johnson Pink CZ drop earrings. These are set in a antique gold and the color is amazing on them. I recently found these at Dillard's on clearance also in case anyone is looking for them.
Next up is Mixed Metal Long Beaded Fringe earrings. I wanted these the first go around and wasn't able to trade for them so I was absolutely thrilled to get them in this bag. They are rose gold, yellow gold, silver and gunmetal! They are very rocker chic!!!!!
I am a huge Betsey Johnson fan and when I saw this Pink Hippo necklace I knew I had to have it! It is such a fun and whimsical piece! The chain is adjustable on this also.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this necklace and have receive so many compliments on it already. This is the
JUKO Pink Bow Tie Necklace. They had these in yellow and blue also. I should have tried to get all of them because this is something that I have really enjoyed wearing. The bow is super sparkly in real life and not very large. The importan thing to note here is the chain is not adjustable.
Lastly, the last item that I kept! This beautiful Coral Beaded Necklace. I avoided this necklace the first time around and then saw a photo of it on someone and knew at that moment I HAD TO HAVE IT! I Love this piece also!!!!! The coral is such a pop of color and it is well made! The chain is adjustable on this one.
Now, let me show you the four items that I returned.
JUKO White Leather and Gold Bracelet. This was too large for my wrist, it is extremely cute!
All the Rage Coral Chandelier earrings - these are gorgeous actually but they were just heavier than I can wear. I can do some heavy earrings but this was just too much for me.
Fabric Gold Bead Necklace. I did not like this at all, it was just too stiff on my neck. The look is pretty though and I did like that about it but I just knew that without it having some give I wouldn't wear it.
Lastly, BCBGeneration Star Bracelet. This was also too large for my wrist but cute. The crystals seem to be a wine color on mine. I had read they were pink but mine were darker.
Well, that was my 2nd experience with LBB! I will say that the return process was simple and very quick!!!!
